This bill aims to improve postrelease community supervision in California. It requires the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to notify the county probation department of a prisoner's scheduled release date at least 90 days prior to release. If the release date is set or reset within 90 days, the department must notify the county within 5 business days but no later than 30 days. The bill also requires the department to provide the county with the contact information of the person's prerelease, postrelease, and enhanced care managers to facilitate coordinated reentry services. Additionally, if the county probation department identifies a discrepancy between the person's current and last known county of residence, the department must coordinate with the probation department to determine the person's current county of residence and develop a plan for their release and transportat…
