The bill aims to amend various tax laws in California to provide relief to taxpayers and to promote economic growth. It would allow licensed dealers to pay sales taxes to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) instead of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) for reporting periods starting January 1, 2021.
