AB 1327: Home improvement and home solicitation: right to cancel contracts: notice.
What AB 1327 does, verified December 7, 2025
This bill amends existing laws to regulate home improvement and home solicitation contracts. A buyer has the right to cancel these contracts within a certain timeframe, but the notice of cancellation must be provided in multiple ways. The notice must be delivered by email, and the seller must include an email address and a telephone number to assist the buyer. If the notice of cancellation is not included in the contract, the buyer can file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board. The bill also makes conforming changes to other relevant laws.
