AB 144: Health.
This bill would exempt health care practitioners licensed in another state, territory, or country from certain healing arts licensure requirements while providing services at Olympic and Paralympic activities. The exemption would apply while the practitioner is providing services at the invitation of the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and only during the time sanctioned by the committee. The bill would also require the state department of public health to modify or supplement recommendations for immunizations based on guidelines from the United States Preventive Services Task Force, the Federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and the Federal Health Resources and Services Administration.
