AB 1458: Physical therapy and veterinary medicine: animal physical therapy.

This bill allows licensed physical therapists to provide animal physical therapy under certain conditions. A physical therapist must notify the relevant board of their practice and work under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. The physical therapist must provide a written notification to the animal's owner and have an active practice agreement with the veterinarian. Physical therapy aides can assist the physical therapist in performing animal physical therapy tasks. A physical therapist providing animal physical therapy is liable for any delegated tasks performed by an aide or assistant supervised by the physical therapist.
