AB 1496: Cannabis task force.
This bill reinstates a task force established to promote communication and cooperation between state and local entities regulating commercial cannabis activity. The task force will include representatives from state agencies and local jurisdictions that choose to participate, as well as representatives from tribal governmental entities. The task force's meetings will be exempt from the open meeting act and the Ralph M. Brown Act. The bill makes legislative findings to demonstrate the interest protected by limiting access to the task force's meetings and the need to protect that interest.
