This bill creates a new exemption from sales and use tax on infant car seats from January 1, 2027, to January 1, 2032. The exemption applies to the sale, storage, use, or consumption of these seats. However, local sales and use taxes or transactions and use taxes are not affected by this exemption. The state will not reimburse local agencies for lost sales and use tax revenues as a result of this bill.
