<p>The bill requires local agencies and elections officials to notify the secretary of state and attorney general within one business day upon becoming aware of any warrant, subpoena, or active law enforcement investigation related to election records or voting systems under their control. It also grants the attorney general the authority to intervene in or initiate court proceedings to challenge such warrants or subpoenas on valid grounds or seek other appropriate relief. The provisions will be repealed on January 1, 2030.</p>
