AB 1667: Serious felonies: furnishing fentanyl to a minor.

This bill would amend the penal code to include furnishing fentanyl and fentanyl analogs to a minor within the definition of a serious felony. A serious felony is defined as a crime that can be punishable by more than one year in prison. The bill would also impose a 5-year enhancement for conviction of a serious felony if the person has previously been convicted of a serious felony. This would result in a state-mandated local program. The bill would also specify that no reimbursement is required for the costs of implementing this law.
