AB 2398: Graduate medical education capacity: report.

<p>The proposed act establishes the Physician Graduate License Act under California's Business and Professions Code. It requires the Medical Board of California to issue licenses to medical school graduates who have not completed residency programs if they meet certain criteria. These licensed individuals, known as physician graduates, must practice under a supervising agreement with an active sponsoring physician in California.</p> <p>The license is valid for three years and can be renewed for additional three-year periods based on specified conditions. The board will set fees for application, licensure, and renewal. Under this act, physician graduates are considered full-scope physicians for medical practice purposes.</p>
