AB 2436: Public postsecondary education: tuition and fees: Team USA student athletes.

This bill would extend the provisions that entitle a team usa student athlete who trains in the state in an elite level program approved by the united states olympic and paralympic committee to resident classification indefinitely. It would remove the july 1, 2032, sunset provision and make conforming changes to the existing law that entitles such athletes to resident classification for purposes of determining tuition and fees. The bill would also require reimbursement for any costs mandated by the state to local agencies and school districts if the commission on state mandates determines that the bill contains such costs.
