AB 319: Foster youth: trauma-informed services.

This bill aims to improve services for children and youth in foster care who have experienced severe trauma. It requires counties to submit plans to the state, detailing how they will provide coordinated, timely, and trauma-informed services. The plans must be submitted every two years, starting in 2027, and take into consideration the placement and service options available to county child welfare agencies and probation departments. The bill also establishes a joint interagency resolution team to support implementation and provide recommendations to the legislature on a statewide plan for trauma-informed care. The plan will aim to support youth in the least restrictive setting.
