AB 344: Alcoholic beverages: beer price posting and marketing regulations: definitions.
This bill aims to modify the definition of a "successor beer manufacturer" to include any person, whether licensed or unlicensed, who acquires the rights to manufacture, import, or distribute a product. The current definition only includes a beer manufacturer. This change would expand the scope of entities subject to the requirements applicable to successor beer manufacturers. The bill would also make no reimbursement required for certain costs associated with implementing this change. The state is required to reimburse local agencies and school districts for certain mandated costs. However, this bill would not require the state to provide reimbursement for the costs associated with this change.
