AB 369: Emergency services: liability.

This bill adds a new section to the civil code that protects individuals who administer emergency anti-seizure medication in good faith and without compensation. It excuses them from liability in civil actions, professional review, or criminal prosecution for their actions, as long as their conduct is not grossly negligent and does not involve willful or wanton misconduct. The bill applies to situations where a person is suspected of experiencing a seizure and the medication is administered at the scene of an emergency. The law also excuses individuals who administer opioid antagonists under certain conditions.
