What AB 445 does, verified December 7, 2025

This bill would provide an exception to the limitation of on-sale general licenses in the county of Colusa, allowing up to 10 additional new original on-sale general licenses for bona fide public eating places. A person holding a valid on-sale general license for seasonal business can apply for new licenses under these provisions. The new licenses cannot be transferred out of the county or to a premises that does not qualify. Selling or transferring the new licenses for more than the original fee paid is prohibited. The bill would also extend the authorization for beer manufacturers to give and on-sale retail licensees to accept free retail advertising glassware until January 1, 2029.
