What AB 450 does, verified December 7, 2025

This bill aims to support older and aging immigrants in California, regardless of their immigration status. The California Department of Aging will oversee a stakeholder process to develop systems that maintain individuals in their own homes or least restrictive homelike environments. A panel will be established to consider issues such as affordability and access to social services and housing. The panel will issue findings and recommendations by July 1, 2028, and the departments will jointly submit a report to the legislature by December 1, 2028. The provisions will be repealed on January 1, 2029.
