This bill aims to amend the law regarding nonminor dependents by allowing their county of residence to be changed to another county where they are living. The change can be requested by the nonminor dependent and must demonstrate an intent to remain in the new county by establishing a significant connection. A court must issue an order to transfer the case within 30 calendar days of the request. Once the order is issued, the new county is deemed to have jurisdiction over the nonminor dependent within 10 calendar days.
