AB 752: Child daycare facilities.

This bill adds a new section to the Health and Safety Code, relating to daycare facilities. It requires daycare centers colocated with multifamily housing to be considered a residential use of property and a use by right. This means that local jurisdictions cannot impose business licenses, fees, or taxes on these centers. The bill also exempts these centers from the California Environmental Quality Act. The proposed changes address a statewide concern and apply to all cities, including charter cities.
