AB 759: Architects: architects-in-training.
A new law will allow individuals to use the title "architect-in-training" after meeting certain requirements, including passing an examination and being identified as a candidate for licensure by the relevant board. To use this title, individuals must be supervised by a licensed architect and agree to be responsible for the work performed. The title can be used for no more than four years, and individuals can apply for an extension if they pass an examination within a four-year period. Using the title in violation of these provisions may constitute unprofessional conduct and result in administrative action. The use of the title is also subject to certain restrictions, including the prohibition of using abbreviations or derivatives of the title.
