AB 790: Homelessness: single women with children.

California · Assembly · 2025–2026 Regular Session · last verified December 13, 2025

What AB 790 does, verified December 13, 2025

This bill aims to address homelessness by including single women with children in the populations that cities, counties, and continuums of care must address. The cities, counties, and continuums of care must develop analyses and goals with victim service providers to address the specific needs of this population. The bill also requires the interagency council on homelessness to set and measure progress on goals to prevent and end homelessness among domestic violence survivors and their children, as well as unaccompanied women. The analyses and goals must be posted on the interagency council's website. The bill includes provisions for reimbursement if the commission on state mandates determines that the bill contains costs mandated by the state.
