AB 806: Mobilehomes: cooling systems.
The bill aims to protect homeowners and residents in mobilehome parks from unfair restrictions on cooling systems. Any covenant, restriction, or condition that prohibits or restricts the installation, upgrade, replacement, or use of a cooling system in a mobilehome is considered void and unenforceable. Homeowners and residents are allowed to install, upgrade, replace, or use a cooling system in their mobilehome without fear of termination of tenancy. Entities that willfully violate these provisions can be held liable for actual damages and a civil penalty of up to $2,000.
