SB 132: Taxation.
This bill aims to amend various tax laws in California to provide relief to taxpayers and make the tax system more efficient. It would exempt licensed dealers from paying certain taxes if they sell a certain number of vehicles in a year and have a good standing with the state tax agency. The bill would also expand the application of the marketplace facilitator act to include fees imposed under the electronic waste recycling act. Additionally, the bill would provide exclusions from gross income for certain types of payments, such as retirement pay and annuity payments, and for amounts received in settlement of wildfires and the Chiquita Canyon elevated temperature landfill event.
