<p>This bill would repeal a provision that prohibits local governments from requiring identification for voting or submitting a ballot at polling places, vote centers, or other voting locations.</p> <p>The existing law prohibits local governments from enacting or enforcing any charter provision, ordinance, or regulation that requires identification for voting or ballot submission.</p> <p>This bill would allow local governments to enact or enforce regulations requiring identification for voting or ballot submission.</p> <p>The purpose of this bill is to give local governments more flexibility in their voting regulations.</p>
