This bill amends the parole law to allow courts to remand individuals on parole for first- or second-degree murder to the department of corrections and rehabilitation for future parole consideration if they have committed a parole violation. The court must determine that this is in the furtherance of justice. If the court decides not to remand the individual, they will be confined in a county jail instead.
