If a business violates this law, it may face a civil penalty of up to $35,000 for each violation, or 10-20 times that amount, depending on the case. The bill also allows for an action to be brought by a public prosecutor or a parent or legal guardian of a minor who has acquired the product or service, providing additional remedies for those affected.
