SB 710: Property taxation: active solar energy systems.
What SB 710 does, verified December 7, 2025
This bill amends the revenue and taxation code to make a technical change to the exclusion of active solar energy systems from the definition of "newly constructed" for property tax purposes. The exclusion remains in effect until there is a subsequent change in ownership. The repeal date of January 1, 2027, is changed to the date the exclusion becomes inoperative. The bill also incorporates additional changes proposed in another bill, which would be operative only if both bills are enacted and this bill is enacted last.
