The bill aims to revise the confidentiality of medical information act to include immigration status, place of birth, and other personal information. It defines "immigration enforcement" as efforts to investigate, enforce, or assist federal civil or criminal immigration laws. The bill prohibits the disclosure of medical information for immigration enforcement purposes, except in cases where a valid search warrant or court order is obtained. Health care provider entities are required to establish procedures for monitoring and documenting visitors, and personnel must notify management or legal counsel of requests for access for immigration enforcement purposes.
