This bill aims to improve the treatment of individuals arrested without a warrant. After a warrantless arrest, the court must review the basis for the arrest within 48 hours and determine if probable cause exists that an offense has been committed and that the arrested person is responsible. If the court finds no probable cause, the person must be released immediately and notified. Similarly, for juveniles, the court must review the situation within 48 hours and determine if an offense has been committed and if the juvenile is responsible. If the court finds no probable cause, the juvenile must be released immediately and notified.
