SB 91: All-mailed ballot elections: vote centers.

California · Senate · 2025–2026 Regular Session · last verified December 7, 2025

What SB 91 does, verified December 7, 2025

This bill amends the elections code to allow counties to conduct all-mailed ballot elections if specified conditions are met. A county must provide at least one vote center for every 50,000 registered voters within the jurisdiction where the election is held, starting at least 5 days before the election. This change reduces the time required for counties to set up vote centers compared to the current 10-day requirement.
