A 10068: Provides additional exemptions to school districts unable to meet standards for zero-emissions school buses, due to market availability or supporting infrastructure.
What A 10068 does, verified February 26, 2026
The proposed law aims to provide relief to school districts that struggle to meet zero-emission school bus standards due to market availability or infrastructure issues. School districts that have received two extensions to meet the standards, but are unable to do so, will not be penalized or face adverse actions. To be eligible for this relief, the district must demonstrate a good faith effort to comply with the standards and show that the issue is caused by factors such as insufficient supply of zero-emission buses, manufacturing delays, or supply chain disruptions. This relief will take effect immediately.
