The bill aims to make technical changes to the Social Services Law, primarily focusing on requiring maintained records for certain children to include their developmental disability status. This includes updating the required information on child records, such as sex, date and place of birth, and full and true names of parents and guardians. The bill also repeals sections related to the same topic and renumbers the remaining sections. Furthermore, it establishes a study to determine the number of children in foster care who have a developmental disability. The changes to the law are intended to improve the accuracy and completeness of child records and better support children with developmental disabilities.
