<p> This act amends the New York Highway Law to dedicate a specific portion of the state highway system to Patrick LaFortune Jr. The dedicated section consists of State Route 9W, starting where it crosses the town line from the City of Albany into the Town of Bethlehem in Albany County and ending at its intersection with Moriah Road in the same town. The Commissioner of Transportation is required to install and maintain signs for this dedicated highway that read "Highway Dedicated to Patrick LaFortune Jr." However, the official name of the highway will not change, and the dedication is intended to be ceremonial to prevent confusion and limit potential disruption to commerce.
