A 11625: Authorizes the department of social services to provide certain notice to providers when written authorization has been provided by the provider or person receiving such notice.
<p> This bill amends the Social Services Law to authorize the Department of Social Services to send required notices electronically, provided that written authorization has been obtained from the recipient. The authorization must be in a form prescribed by the Medicaid Inspector General. The law specifies that using reasonably secure electronic means for these notices is permitted regardless of other legal provisions.
