A 11727: Requires government entities review and post information about funds received pursuant to the statewide opioid settlement agreement including information about how such funds are being used properly.

This bill amends the Mental Hygiene Law to require New York State government entities that received funds from the statewide opioid settlement agreement to publicly report how those funds were utilized. Specifically, these entities must post this information on their websites and submit it to the Office of Addiction Services and Supports by November 1st of each year. The Office of Addiction Services and Supports will then review and approve the submitted information to ensure it aligns with the settlement agreements and relevant state finance laws. Once approved, the office will re-post the information on its own website, including its review and approval status. The bill requires this reporting and review process to be updated annually. The act takes effect immediately upon introduction.
