What A 1277 does, verified January 30, 2026

This proposed constitutional amendment aims to restrict voting eligibility to only citizens who meet specific requirements. Citizens must be at least 18 years old and have been residents of the state and county for at least 30 days prior to an election. The proposed change would amend the state constitution to reflect these new voting eligibility criteria. The amendment would be published for three months before the next general election, allowing for public review and consideration.
