ROSENTHAL, ROZIC, COOK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to requiring the state board of elections to develop a program to be administered by all boards of elections to notify voters of certain information where their area has been redistricted The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 3-102 of the election law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 16-c to read as follows: 3 16-c. develop a program to be administered by all boards of elections 4 to notify voters that their districts may have changed due to redis- 5 tricting. Such program shall include but not be limited to mailings, 6 online, telephone or other resources to assist voters in determining 7 potential representatives for their district prior to an election; 8 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. Effective immediately, 9 the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation neces- 10 sary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are 11 authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective date.
