  STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1533 2025-2026 Regular Sessions  IN ASSEMBLY January 10, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. K. BROWN -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the legislative law, in relation to requiring the tempo- rary president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly to provide each member of their respective chamber with any reports issued to them The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 6 of the legislative law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 9 to read as follows: 3 9. Whenever the temporary president of the senate is issued a report 4 from any agency, authority, board, bureau, commission, corporation, 5 department, division, office or task force or any other subdivision of 6 the state or federal government or a county, city, town or village 7 government within the state, the temporary president of the senate shall 8 electronically distribute such report to each member of the senate. 9 § 2. Section 7 of the legislative law is amended by adding a new 10 undesignated paragraph to read as follows: 11 Whenever the speaker of the assembly is issued a report from any agen- 12 cy, authority, board, bureau, commission, corporation, department, divi- 13 sion, office or task force or any other subdivision of the state or 14 federal government or a county, city, town or village government within 15 the state, the speaker of the assembly shall electronically distribute 16 such report to each member of the assembly. 17 § 3.
