The proposed legislation aims to hold employees accountable for committing unlawful discriminatory practices. When an employer is found liable for such practices, the employee responsible will be jointly and severally liable with the employer for any damages awarded. This means the employee will share the financial responsibility for the damages, in addition to the employer. The changes will take effect immediately upon the bill's passage.
