STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1653 2025-2026 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 10, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. ROSENTHAL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to notification of changes to medical and support services to residents in assisted living facilities The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 4656 of the public health law, as added by chapter 2 2 of the laws of 2004, is amended by adding a new subdivision 11 to read 3 as follows: 4 11. Every assisted living facility licensed under this article shall 5 provide the resident, resident's representative and resident's legal 6 representative, if any, no less than one hundred eighty days notice 7 before there are any changes in contracts which affect the medical 8 and/or other support services to the resident. 9 § 2.
