A 1825: Relates to waiving the $200 microscopy registration fee for basic life support first response agencies.
The bill aims to waive the registration fee for basic life support first response agencies. The waiver applies to agencies that meet specific requirements, such as filing a completed application, providing documentation, and paying a biennial registration fee. Non-profit laboratories and organizations engaged in limited public health testing are exempt from paying the fee. Additionally, agencies with a fixed location in the state and approved by the department to move from testing site to testing site can operate multiple locations under a single registration and pay a single fee. The bill also defines a "basic life support first response agency" as an organization determined by the department of health to be a basic life support non-transporting EMS agency. The changes take effect immediately.
