A 1920: Prohibits entry to gun shows to anyone under twelve years of age.
The bill proposes to amend the general business law to increase age requirements for gun shows. It requires firearm exhibitors to notify buyers in writing that a national instant criminal background check must be completed prior to all firearm sales or transfers. The bill also coordinates with the division of state police to provide access to perform a national instant criminal background check at gun shows. Additionally, it requires firearm dealers to provide a copy of the ATF Form 4473 to buyers and maintain the form for inspection by law enforcement agencies for a period of ten years. The bill further prohibits entrance to the gun show of any person under the age of twelve years of age. The changes will take effect immediately.
