MAHER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the general municipal law and the tax law, in relation to including Orange county as a designated community for purposes of community preservation funds The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 1 of section 6-s of the gener- 2 al municipal law, as amended by chapter 608 of the laws of 2019, is 3 amended to read as follows: 4 (d) "Designated community" means any town or city within the Hudson 5 Valley counties of Orange, Putnam, Ulster, or Westchester. 6 § 2. Subdivision 11 of section 1560 of the tax law, as amended by 7 chapter 608 of the laws of 2019, is amended to read as follows: 8 11. "Designated community" means any town or city within the Hudson 9 Valley counties of Orange, Putnam, Ulster, or Westchester. 10 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
