What A 2075 does, verified January 8, 2026

The bill requires all child restraint systems sold by or through retail businesses to be equipped with sensor technology that monitors the presence of a child in the system. This sensor technology works in conjunction with a receiver connected to a mobile application accessible by the driver or owner of the vehicle, notifying them of the child's presence through an alert when the child is secured in the system. The alert is sent either when the ignition is turned off at the end of a trip or if the child restraint system is not properly secured during a trip. The bill takes effect immediately.
