What A 210 does, verified January 8, 2026

The "Preserving Our Culinary Traditions Act" aims to exempt the burning of certain fuels for cooking from state and local regulations. This exemption applies to the mandates of the New York State Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and any local laws or regulations. The bill removes this prohibition, allowing the burning of wood, coal, natural gas, propane, and other fuels for cooking purposes. The exemptions do not affect other environmental regulations or restrictions. The act takes effect immediately.
