What A 2367 does, verified December 9, 2025

The bill aims to amend the real property tax law to expand the disability rent increase exemption to other qualifying members of a household. Currently, the exemption is only available to the head of the household, who is 62 years old or older, or a person with a disability. The bill expands this to include the relative or legal guardian of a qualifying member of the household, who is entitled to the possession or use of a dwelling unit. The qualifying member of the household must be a person with a disability, but not the head of the household. The bill also defines key terms, including "relative," "supervising agency," and "qualifying member of the household." The amendments will take effect immediately.
