What A 2385 does, verified January 8, 2026

The proposed law aims to ensure that students in certain school districts receive the same services as their public school counterparts. If a school district has at least 25% of students attending a nonpublic school, it must provide those services to students attending a nonpublic school within the district. Nonpublic schools are required to submit electronic certifications for the services they provide. The state will review and correct any discrepancies in services provided by nonpublic schools. The law will take effect immediately and apply to school years starting after the effective date.
