What A 2394 does, verified January 30, 2026

This proposed constitutional amendment aims to limit the legislature's power to amend a redistricting plan submitted by the independent redistricting commission. The amendment would ensure that no more than two percent of the population of any district is affected by such amendments. If two or more plans for districts in the same legislative house or for congressional districts are submitted and voted upon, they would be considered individually, not combined. The proposed amendment would be referred to the first regular legislative session after the next general election and would be published for three months prior to the election.
