A 2676: Provides for comparable salary and other benefits for state employees designated managerial or confidential to ensure such employees receive an increase in salary at least equal to the percentage of the general salary increases provided to employees in a bargaining unit that receives the highest percentage general salary increase and other benefits.
The proposed bill aims to provide comparable salary and benefits to state employees designated as managerial or confidential. State employees in these categories would receive an increase in salary at least equal to the highest percentage general salary increase provided to employees in a bargaining unit. If a lump sum payment is provided to employees in a bargaining unit instead of a general salary increase, the largest lump sum payment would also be given to state employees in managerial or confidential categories. The proposed changes would take effect on the first April after the bill becomes law.
