The bill aims to modify the current law regarding the issuance and maintenance of record books for firearms transactions in the state. The law requires gunsmiths and licensed firearms dealers to maintain a record of all transactions involving firearms. The current law is silent on who is responsible for distributing the record books to firearms dealers.
