Assembly BillIntroduced
A 3324: Creates the presumption of intent to sell when a person is in possession of forty or more individual packages containing heroin with an aggregate weight of 4.0 grams.
What A 3324 does, verified January 9, 2026
The proposed law aims to make it easier to prosecute individuals who are charged with selling controlled substances. To establish this presumption, the law would require that the person in question possesses at least 40 individual packages of a controlled substance with an aggregate weight of 4.0 grams or more. This would be considered presumptive evidence that the person intended to sell the controlled substance. The law would take effect 90 days after it becomes a law.
